OUR ORGANIZATION
The Friends of the Finney County Public Library was formed in 1975 by a group of library staff and community members interested in promoting our public library.
We are an organization committed to supporting the Finney County Public Library including its educational and enrichment programs for all ages. The Library offers more that 100,00 items for circulation and a certified Nature Explore classroom. Friends’ fundraisers provide support for library programs and facility improvements. There are opportunities for volunteering with fundraisers and also with the Library programs. Consider joining us in helping the FCPL to continue to serve as a community destination. If you are interested contact any Friends’ member or the Library for a brochure and application of membership.
Friends operates the Friends’ Used Bookstore in the Library, too. Volunteers keep the bookstore stocked with books from community donations and withdrawn Library books. The used bookstore offers adult fiction and nonfiction including cookbooks, and children’s fiction and nonfiction, too.
